Uttarakhand News: The Chief Minister of Uttarakhand, Pushkar Singh Dhami, announced that the committee report on the Uniform Civil Code (UCC) will be issued today. Expressing his support for the UCC, CM Dhami stated, “The people of the state had elected us for this work (UCC). I congratulate the people of Uttarakhand that after the implementation of UCC here, many complexities in the laws will be simplified, people will get justice easily, and a uniform system will be implemented for all.”
The UCC aims to create a consistent legal framework applicable to all citizens, regardless of their religion, thereby streamlining various personal laws and ensuring equal justice for everyone in the state
Kanwar Yatra Preparations
Regarding the upcoming Kanwar Yatra, CM Dhami emphasized the significance of the event, stating, “This is a very important fair for us. Shiv devotees come here from many states of the country. There should be proper management for them, there should be proper arrangements, their yatra should be good, they should not face any kind of problem.”
He assured that the state government is committed to ensuring a smooth and well-organized pilgrimage for the devotees. “We will discuss this in the meeting today,” he added, highlighting the administration’s dedication to addressing all aspects of the Kanwar Yatra to facilitate a hassle-free experience for the pilgrims.
The state government has been making extensive preparations to accommodate the influx of devotees during the yatra, ensuring that all necessary facilities and safety measures are in place.
