In a move to enhance accessibility to essential services, the Pushkar Singh Dhami government in Uttarakhand has announced the introduction of certificate delivery through WhatsApp via the state’s Apni Sarkar portal. This initiative aims to streamline the distribution process, making it more convenient and user-friendly for residents across the state.
Simplifying Access to Essential Services
Previously, certificates generated through the Apni Sarkar portal were only available through the Common Service Centre (CSC) network, posing challenges, especially in rural areas with limited CSC availability. Recognizing this hurdle, the Information Technology Development Agency (ITDA) has collaborated with messaging platform Gupshup to facilitate direct certificate delivery to users’ WhatsApp numbers.
Comprehensive Service Offerings
The Apni Sarkar portal offers a wide array of online services, encompassing a total of 799 state and central government services. These include vital documents such as caste certificates, income certificates, permanent residence proofs, birth and death certificates, ration cards, and MNREGA job cards. Additionally, services like PAN cards and Aadhaar cards under the central government are also accessible through this portal.
Seamless User Experience
With the integration of WhatsApp delivery, applicants who apply for certificates through the Apni Sarkar portal will receive their documents directly on their WhatsApp numbers. This eliminates the need for users to visit CSCs or other physical locations to collect their certificates, significantly enhancing convenience and accessibility, especially for those residing in remote areas.
Ensuring Timely Delivery
All services provided through the Apni Sarkar portal are governed by the Right to Service Act, ensuring that certificates are delivered to users within the stipulated time frame. By leveraging WhatsApp as a delivery medium, the government aims to expedite the distribution process and ensure timely receipt of essential documents by residents.
Addressing Queries and Concerns
To further assist users, Gupshup’s chatbox feature will be utilized to address any doubts or queries related to the certificate issuance process. This additional support mechanism aims to enhance user experience and provide comprehensive assistance throughout the certificate application and delivery process.
