Uttarakhand News: In a major initiative to enhance the condition of government schools in Dehradun, District Magistrate (DM) Savin Bansal has allocated Rs 3 crore to upgrade the schools with new technology and modern amenities. The move aims to significantly improve the learning environment for students and bring government schools on par with private institutions.

Digital Classrooms and Enhanced Facilities

Under this initiative, traditional blackboards will be replaced with digital screens, offering students a more interactive and engaging educational experience. Additionally, swings and outdoor play equipment will be installed for students from classes 1 to 5 to encourage physical activity. There will also be a focus on beautifying school walls and improving the overall school infrastructure.

DM Bansal emphasized the importance of ensuring holistic development for students in government schools. He highlighted that access to quality education is a fundamental right, and it is the administration’s responsibility to provide the necessary facilities for every child. Bansal noted that many private schools in the district already use the latest technology, boosting both the confidence and knowledge of their students. To ensure government schools don’t fall behind, he has prioritized the installation of digital boards.
