Uttarakhand News: Inactive Doctors Face Suspension in Uttarakhand as Medical Association Takes Action

In a recent development, the Provincial Medical and Health Services Association (PMHS), the largest organization representing government doctors in Uttarakhand, has decided to suspend the membership of around 400 doctors who have been inactive.

Membership Suspension for Inactive Doctors Announced by Uttarakhand’s PMHS

During a meeting held in Dehradun, association members declared the suspension of doctors who failed to renew their membership. The PMHS currently comprises 1,400 registered government doctors out of approximately 2,500 in the state.

The association’s decision reflects its commitment to maintaining an active and engaged membership. The suspended doctors are urged to renew their memberships before reinstatement.

Additional Note: No Progress on Haryana’s Rs 200 Crore Startup Fund

In a separate development, the promised Rs 200 crore Venture Capital Fund (VCF) for startups in Haryana remains unallocated, raising concerns about the fulfillment of Chief Minister Khattar’s vision to support women entrepreneurs and those from reserved categories. A query by MLA Rakesh Daultabad revealed that no funds have been allocated for the proposed startup fund.
