Uttarakhand News— In a tragic turn of events, two separate road accidents in Haridwar district have resulted in the deaths of four individuals and left two others injured. The incidents occurred on the Haridwar State Highway and near the Nagla Imarti bypass.
First Accident: Car-Bike Collision on Haridwar State Highway
According to the Civil Line Kotwali Police in Roorkee, the first accident took place on Sunday night near Beldagaon on the Haridwar State Highway. A car collided with a bike, leading to the death of Amit, a resident of Behdaki Saidabad, Jhabrera police station. The other rider, Vicky, sustained serious injuries and has been referred to a higher medical center for treatment. The car driver fled the scene immediately after the accident.
Second Accident: Two-Bike Collision Near Nagla Imarti Bypass
The second incident occurred around 2 a.m. near the Nagla Imarti bypass, involving a collision between two motorcycles. The crash resulted in the deaths of Bijendra and Amresh, both residents of Belda, Kotwali Roorkee, and Sagar, a resident of Gandhinagar, Kurukshetra, Haryana. The injured in this accident include Aman Chaudhary, also from Belda, Kotwali Roorkee, and Vishal, a resident of Pinjar, Yamunanagar, Haryana. Both injured individuals are receiving medical treatment.
Police Action and Investigation
The police have taken custody of the deceased’s bodies and have informed their families about the accidents. Investigations are underway to locate the absconding car driver involved in the first accident.
These incidents highlight the need for increased road safety measures and vigilance, particularly during the ongoing Kanwar Yatra, which sees a significant increase in vehicular and pedestrian traffic in the region.
