Uttarakhand News: Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami announced a 50% subsidy on electricity bills for consumers using up to 100 units per month, with the limit extended to 200 units in high Himalayan regions. The move is part of the government’s effort to provide relief to residents in the state.

Addressing other significant developments, Dhami discussed the recently passed anti-riot law, aimed at maintaining peace in Uttarakhand. “Our state is very peaceful, and there is no place for riots or vandalism here. With the new anti-riot law, if anyone damages government or private property during riots, they will be held financially responsible,” Dhami said. The law has received the Governor’s approval and is set to be implemented soon.

In a recent recruitment drive, Dhami emphasized his commitment to filling government vacancies in a transparent manner. “In the last three years, we have made more than 17,000 appointments. We are committed to ensuring all recruitment examinations are fair and transparent,” he stated. On Friday, he announced that 1,094 engineers will receive their appointment letters, addressing the shortage of engineers in the state and promoting fast-paced development.

These initiatives highlight the state government’s focus on economic relief, maintaining law and order, and boosting employment opportunities for Uttarakhand’s residents.
