Uttarakhand Weather Update: Uttarakhand is experiencing dry weather once again, with the plains suffering from humid heat. In the mountainous regions, partial clouds are hovering, but temperatures are on the rise.
According to the Meteorological Center, light drizzle may occur today amid partial clouds in Uttarkashi, Chamoli, Rudraprayag, Bageshwar, and Pithoragarh. Meanwhile, the plains are expected to remain dry with bright sunshine, leading to an increase in temperatures. Over the next few days, maximum temperatures could rise by two to three degrees Celsius.
Sweaty Heat Causes Discomfort
On Friday, Dehradun experienced dry weather from the morning. Although partial clouds appeared in the afternoon, there was no rain, resulting in oppressive humidity. Consequently, Dehradun’s maximum temperature was recorded at three degrees Celsius above normal.
Similarly, other plains are also enduring the heat. The weather remains pleasant in the mountainous regions during the mornings and evenings. The Meteorological Department predicts that the state will continue to have dry weather in the plains and partial clouds in the mountains for the next two days, with temperatures staying above normal. Humid heat is expected to persist.
Temperature Increases, Heat and Humidity Cause Discomfort
Haridwar and its surrounding areas are currently facing extreme heat. There has been a temperature increase of 1.5 degrees compared to the previous day. According to information from the solar observatory in Bahadarabad, the maximum and minimum temperatures on Thursday were 37.5 and 24.5 degrees Celsius, respectively, while on Friday, they rose to 39 and 24 degrees Celsius.

- Udham Singh Nagar: 39.0°C, 25.2°C
- Mukteshwar: 23.8°C, 14.2°C
- New Tehri: 27.6°C, 18.2°C
The continuing rise in temperatures and oppressive humidity have left people struggling to cope with the conditions in Uttarakhand.
