Uttarakhand News: After the successful experiment of sending medicines through drones in the mountainous region, All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Rishikesh is now going to send blood and blood components to Kotdwar through drone. AIIMS Executive Director Professor Meenu Singh will flag off the drone from AIIMS campus to Kotdwar today.
AIIMS Rishikesh first experimented to deliver medicines through drones in Bauri, Tehri in a short time, which was successful. In the next phase, the work of sending medicines by drone was done in Yamkeshwar area.
AIIMS Rishikesh is not going to send medicines but blood and blood components to Kotdwar. Public Relations Officer Mr. Harish Mohan Thapliyal said that on Monday at 10 am, blood and blood components will be sent to Base Hospital Kotdwar through drone by AIIMS Institute.
