4 dead, over dozen injured after truck hits bus in Uttar Pradesh’s Barabanki

A truck collided with a double-decker bus carrying migrant workers early on Saturday in Uttra Pradesh’s Barabanki near Mahunguput, killing four and injuring more than a dozen others.

When one of the double-decker bus’s tyres punctured, it was carrying migrant workers from Nepal to Goa. The speeding truck then struck the bus from behind while the driver was replacing a tyre when the bus was parked on the side of the road.

The bodies of those who passed away were taken for post-mortem examination while the injured were brought to the district hospital.

Further investigation into the case is underway.
