An 80-year-old man in Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh, rejected his son over alleged ill treatment and gave the state governor his immovable property worth Rs. 1.5 crore.
A farmer Nathu Singh said that because his son and daughter-in-law do not treat him well, he did not want to give them his inheritance.
Nathu Singh, a native of Muzaffarnagar’s Biral village, presently lives at an old home. He swore an affidavit to give his property to the governor of the Uttar Pradesh, making it clear that he does not want any of his children to inherit it. Singh asked that the land be used to construct a school or hospital after his passing.
According to Nathu Singh, who lives in an old age home since his son and daughter-in-law don’t treat him properly, he chose to give the governor ownership of the land so that it might be used for good.
Nathu Singh was adamant on getting the affidavit of the property transfer, according to Rekha Singh, the in-charge of the old-age home where he lives. Singh continued, ‘He doesn’t even want his relatives to attend his final rituals.
Nathu Singh’s request has been registered, according to Pankaj Jain. In the affidavit that will come into effect after his demise, he disclosed his residential home, 10 bighas of farming land, and immovable assets worth Rs 1.5 crore, Pankaj Jain said.
