CM Yogi Adityanath: As India prepares for Diwali 2024, Ayodhya shines bright with joy. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, along with Union Tourism Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, inaugurated the Deepotsav celebrations. This year marks a special occasion as it is the first Diwali for Lord Ramlala in the newly constructed temple. An impressive 25 lakh lamps will light up 55 ghats, requiring 92 thousand liters of mustard oil.

Ayodhya Is the Beginning of Sanatan Dharma: CM Yogi Adityanath

At the inauguration, CM Yogi Adityanath expressed his pride in Ayodhya’s transformation. He stated, “Today Ayodhya is shining. Ayodhya is the beginning of Sanatan Dharma.” He highlighted the beauty of Kashi and acknowledged the world’s recognition of these sacred places.

This Deepotsav marks the 8th celebration since its inception. Yogi Adityanath reflected on the journey, recalling the initial calls for the Ram temple. “Eight years ago, people urged me to build the Ram mandir. I assured them that Lord Ram would bless us,” he said. He credited Prime Minister Modi for his leadership, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic when he laid the temple’s foundation on August 5, 2020.

Honoring the Ram Janmabhoomi Movement

This year’s Deepotsav is particularly significant as it commemorates the end of a 500-year wait. Yogi Adityanath emphasized the importance of remembering those who dedicated their lives to the Ram Janmabhoomi movement. “This is the first Deepotsav after Lord Ram’s return to his abode,” he noted.

Offering Prayers at Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple

Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath offered prayers at the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple in Ayodhya, a significant spiritual act as part of the Deepotsav celebrations. Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat and Deputy CM Brajesh Pathak joined him in this solemn occasion. Their presence at the temple underscores the unity and commitment of the government to uphold and celebrate the cultural heritage of Ayodhya.
