Devotees Generosity Shines Bright

Devotees from far and wide have come forward to express their reverence for Lord Ram, contributing to the tune of 10 kilograms of gold, 25 kilograms of silver ornaments, and a substantial sum of Rs 25 crores in cash, cheques, and drafts. These offerings, reflective of the deep-rooted faith and devotion of the devotees, serve as a testament to the significance of the Ram Mandir in the hearts of millions.

Anticipation Mounts for Ram Navami

As the auspicious occasion of Ram Navami approaches, anticipation is mounting for an even greater surge in donations. With an expected influx of around 50 lakh devotees in the temple town during Ram Navami on April 17th, the Ram Mandir Trust is bracing itself for an unprecedented wave of generosity. The trustees remain optimistic about the community’s continued support in the form of donations and offerings during this auspicious period.

Modernising Donation Processes

To streamline the management of donations and offerings, the State Bank of India has taken proactive measures by installing four automatic high-tech counting machines at the Ram Janmabhoomi complex. These machines are currently operational in double shifts, ensuring accurate and efficient processing of the incoming contributions. Additionally, a dozen computerized counters have been established by the trust to issue receipts promptly, further enhancing transparency in donation management.

Partnership for Accountability

In a bid to enhance accountability and efficiency, the Ram Mandir Trust has entered into a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the State Bank of India. Under this agreement, the bank will assume full responsibility for the collection of donations, offerings, cheques, drafts, and cash deposits. This collaborative effort aims to ensure the seamless handling of financial transactions, bolstering trust and confidence among devotees and stakeholders alike.

Ensuring Transparency and Accountability

To ensure transparency in the valuation of precious materials received as gifts to Ram Lalla, the trust has entrusted the Indian Government Mint with the task of melting and maintaining gold and silver jewelry. A dedicated team from the Indian Government Mint has commenced work in Ayodhya, upholding stringent standards of accountability and integrity in the valuation process.
