Elvish Yadav, the winner of ‘Big Boss OTT,’ has reportedly been released by Kota police in Rajasthan. The popular YouTuber was allegedly taken into custody after being accused of illegally smuggling snake venom by BJP MP Maneka Gandhi, who had called for his immediate arrest.

The incident occurred as police had set up a checkpoint in Kota during state elections, coincidentally intercepting Elvish’s path. Upon realizing the roadblock, Elvish attempted to leave but was apprehended by Kota district Suket police.

Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Kailash Chand from the Anti Corruption Bureau provided insights, stating, “During routine checking in view of the Assembly polls in five states, Elvish Yadav, along with his friends, was stopped at a check post on his way to Kota. After interrogation and confirmation from Noida police that he isn’t wanted and the case against him is under investigation, he was let go.”
Elvish Yadav, along with five others, had been charged by Noida Police for allegedly using snake venom at rave parties. People for Animals (PFA), an animal rights organization, was instrumental in the rescue of snakes, including cobras, from the hands of the arrested individuals during a party at a banquet hall in Sector 51. Authorities seized nine snakes, including cobras and a python, as well as 20 milliliters of snake venom. The case was filed under various wildlife sections and IPC section 120B.
Elvish Yadav, in response to the allegations, posted a video message on Instagram, vehemently denying the charges and describing them as baseless and untrue. He expressed his willingness to cooperate with the UP Police in their investigation, pledging to take full responsibility if any of the accusations were proven true.
The incident has garnered significant attention, with the social media influencer steadfastly maintaining his innocence and commitment to cooperating with the ongoing investigation.
