CM Yogi Adityanath Praises Health Sector Development During Arogya Bharti Program In Lucknow

In the Arogya Bharti program organized in Lucknow on Saturday, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath mentioned the development works done in the field of health in the state. Chief Minister Yogi said that in Uttar Pradesh with a population of 25 crores, only 12 medical colleges were opened in 70 years from 1947 to 2017. Between 2017 and 2022, 35 new medical colleges along with one district have been involved in the process of building one medical college. In 38 districts of eastern Uttar Pradesh, thousands of deaths were caused every year due to encephalitis. From mid-July to mid-November there were 1200 to 2000 deaths per year. More than 50 thousand children died in 40 years. No effort has been made in this direction.

For 19 years since I became an MP for the first time in 1998, I have agitated on this from Parliament to the road. After forming the government in 2017, I had the responsibility. List of affected villages. Coordinated between departments. By making the Health Department the nodal department, the campaign was collectively carried forward by adding Medical Education, AYUSH, Urban Development, Village Development and Panchayati Raj Departments. Special attention was paid to cleanliness. Provided pure drinking water. Distribute soap in the affected habitations. Continuously reviewed progress. Hired officials, doctors. As a result, this disease has been eradicated in eastern Uttar Pradesh within 5 years.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said these things while inaugurating the annual meeting of the All India Delegation of Arogya Bharti in Lucknow. On this occasion, Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya was also virtually present in the program.

He said that only a healthy body can fulfill all the means of Dharma. All the means of Dharma are contained in a healthy body. Achieving perfect health has been a part of every Indian’s daily routine. Be it the habit of waking up on time, sleeping or eating or any program related to every rite of their life, every Indian family has been associated with it. To build a healthy society, it is necessary that we take steps for the health of every individual. In true sense, a healthy nation is made up of a healthy society. Somewhere while inaugurating the annual meeting of the All India Delegation of Arogya Bharti.

During the program, the Chief Minister said, Arogya Bharti is working for the last 20 years to achieve complete wellness at all India level. We all felt the working of Arogya Bharti volunteers and workers during the biggest pandemic of the century. He did a commendable job of making every section of the society aware of health without any discrimination. If India’s result in Corona was better than any other country, then the biggest reason behind this was that along with the machinery of the government, voluntary organizations also participated enthusiastically.

The government is making new efforts towards health. Organizations like Arogya Bharti should lead such efforts. I am sure that all these things will be discussed in this meeting and research will be done on how the activities of daily life can be related to health. I believe that half of the diseases can be cured with vigilance. To overcome the remaining diseases, a little different and new efforts will have to be made.

Talking about the usefulness of AYUSH during the Corona pandemic, the Chief Minister said that there would be no Indian family that does not consume turmeric in their daily diet. The whole world felt the power of turmeric and its potency during the Corona period. Turmeric has been an integral part of our daily routine for thousands of years. The world may have understood the power of AYUSH in the Corona period, but in 2014, Prime Minister Narendra Modi worked to give a new ministry to the country by connecting all the departments related to AYUSH. These things show that we already had the strength, but we never considered them important. The same happened with yoga. When June 21 was recognized as World Yoga Day with the efforts of Modi ji, not only India but about 175 countries of the world appeared eager to join yoga. The feeling that the whole world has towards yoga reflects India’s attitude towards prosperous health.
