Extended School Holidays for School Children in Ghaziabad Due to Severe Cold Wave

Earlier, due to the chilly weather conditions, an order was issued to keep all schools in Ghaziabad closed until January 18. Furthermore, school holidays for students up to the twelfth grade were declared until January 17. However, considering the continuing drop in temperatures, an additional two-day holiday has been granted to the younger students (up to eighth grade). Therefore, schools will now remain closed on January 19 and 20.

Decision Is To Provide Relief To School Children

The decision aims to provide relief to school children amid the persisting cold wave. The current spell of cold weather has prompted authorities to take measures to ensure the well-being of students, and the extension of holidays is a precautionary step. Additionally, January 22 has already been declared a holiday due to the scheduled Ram Mandir Pran Pratishtha Samaroh in Ayodhya. The schools will resume regular functioning on January 23 after the extended break.
