The recent inauguration of an additional 17km segment, featuring stations at Muradnagar, Modinagar (south), and Modinagar (north), was officiated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi via video conferencing from Kolkata on March 6.

The reduction in travel time and avoidance of road congestion were particularly appreciated by daily travelers, who also suggested the possibility of fare adjustments to make the service even more accessible.
