Ghaziabad News: The process of transferring the Indirapuram housing scheme to the Municipal Corporation is gaining momentum. A joint committee of the GDA (Ghaziabad Development Authority) and the Municipal Corporation has completed its survey, and now a drone survey will be conducted. A detailed report is expected within a week. The handover process will accelerate once the code of conduct is lifted.
The GDA began developing Indirapuram in 1987, starting with Nyay Khand. This colony, spread over 1,222 acres, saw its first residents in 1994. In a 2009 board meeting, GDA officials approved the completion of this project. Subsequently, in 2011, the GDA sent a letter to the Municipal Corporation for the handover of Indirapuram, but the matter remained pending in correspondence.
GDA Vice President Atul Vats has now formed a committee to advance the transfer process. The committee, chaired by GDA Secretary Rajesh Kumar Singh, includes officials from both the GDA and the Municipal Corporation. They have completed a joint survey of the Indirapuram scheme, and a drone survey will follow. A comprehensive report detailing all sections will be prepared this week. The transfer will proceed once the code of conduct is lifted.
Relief from Broken Roads and Dilapidated Parks
Indirapuram consists of seven wards under the Municipal Corporation. Most councilors struggle to allocate their funds effectively in these areas. Once the scheme is handed over to the Municipal Corporation, councilors will be able to use their allocated funds in Indirapuram. This will lead to repairs of broken roads and revitalization of neglected parks and green belts.
Report Details
The committee’s report on Indirapuram will include comprehensive information on all sections. It will outline the revenue generated and expenses incurred in Indirapuram. Details about parks, roads, drainage systems, street lights, and waste disposal centers, including their numbers, expenses, and current conditions, will be included. Additionally, the report will assess the value of properties in the area.
This transfer is expected to bring significant improvements to the infrastructure and living conditions in Indirapuram, providing much-needed relief to its residents.
