Ghaziabad News: Travelers heading home for Diwali and Chhath Puja in Uttar Pradesh have received a welcome relief as the Uttar Pradesh Transport Corporation (Roadways) has announced plans to operate an extra 200 buses during the festive season. The decision comes in anticipation of the significant number of people traveling to their hometowns to celebrate these festivals. Online bookings for these additional buses are also witnessing a surge, and measures are being put in place to ensure a hassle-free experience for passengers.

Key Highlights of the Plan:

  1. Additional Buses: In preparation for Diwali and Chhath Puja, the Uttar Pradesh Transport Corporation is gearing up by deploying an extra fleet of 200 buses. These buses will cater to various destinations, including Loni, Sahibabad, Kaushambi, Khurja, Bulandshahr, Secunderabad, and Hapur, ensuring that travelers have access to convenient transport options.
  2. Round-the-Clock Service: To enhance the travel experience, the Roadways authorities are ensuring that all arrangements are in place for 24-hour service. Mechanics will be stationed at all depots in Ghaziabad, ready to address any technical issues promptly. Duty shifts have been organized for mechanics to ensure that buses are swiftly repaired in the event of a breakdown.
  3. Passenger Safety and Comfort: Passenger safety and comfort remain a top priority. Buses will commence their journeys only when they are 75 percent filled, ensuring that passengers have sufficient space and a comfortable travel experience. In cases where a bus exceeds this capacity, drivers will be required to provide an explanation.
