Ghaziabad News: Adverse weather conditions troubles the commuters again in the Delhi-NCR region. Due to heavy down pour in the Delhi-NCR region in early hours of July 26, various problems have resurfaced for the commuters to face. Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) have forecast heavy to moderate rainfall in the region from July 25-29. The IMD has issued ‘Yellow Alert’ till Friday amid the warning of heavy rainfall.
Water logging and Traffic
Heavy rainfall in the Ghaziabad has led to extreme water logging in the region. Roads near Arthala and Mohan-Nagar are holding knee deep water, giving the daily commuter difficulties in reaching their destinations. The lack of proper sewage and road infrastructure here has resulted in such extreme water logging.
The conditions of traffic have taken a toll for worst. Congestion on routes and condition of roads has halted the vehicular movement in Delhi-NCR region. Commuters are taking extreme measure to reach to their destinations. Areas of Arthala, Mohan-Nagar, Noida extension to Ghaziabad, Khoda, ITO are foreseeing heavy traffic jam during the peak hours due to extreme water-logging.
Yellow alert in Delhi-NCR region
Amid such extreme rainfall, District Authorities of Noida region have also issued orders to halt the classes of all school in the region. The IMD has issued ‘Yellow alert’ for the Delhi-NCR region.
