Greater Noida News: Work on Yogi Adityanath’s ambitious Film City project is advancing rapidly, following the construction of the Noida International Airport in Jewar. By December 31, the selection of the company tasked with building the Film City is expected to be completed. This decision was emphasized during a meeting at the Yamuna Development Authority.

The authorities have made it clear that any delay in the construction of the Film City project will result in a daily fine of Rs 10 lakh imposed on the responsible company. Additionally, the Uttar Pradesh government and the Yamuna Development Authority are committed to providing every necessary facility to the selected company working on the Film City.

The selection process is currently in progress, with several companies participating and presenting their suggestions and objections. Yamuna Development Authority officials are diligently reviewing these submissions, and once the complete report is ready, it will be made available on the authority’s website. This information will outline the guidelines and rules for constructing the Film City.

Companies interested in building the Film City must submit their tenders by November 30. Technical and financial tenders will be opened on December 5, and by December 31, the company responsible for constructing the Film City will be selected by the authority and the government. Following the selection, an MOU will be signed with the chosen company.

The Film City is set to be constructed in Sector-21 of Yamuna City and is planned to span one thousand acres of land. The initial phase will encompass the development of Film City on 230 acres of land. Notably, the chosen company will be responsible for installing essential infrastructure such as electricity lines and sewers across the entire land. This responsibility will be exclusively given to companies associated with the Film City project.
