Greater Noida News: The National Buildings Construction Corporation (NBCC) has decided to deviate from its initial plan of constructing affordable apartments on vacant land in Greater Noida’s delayed Amrapali projects. Instead, it will launch a new housing scheme in June, featuring premium 3BHK and 4BHK apartments to meet the increasing demand for high-end residences in the Noida and Greater Noida region.
Premium Apartments in Focus
The NBCC aims to build a total of 13,500 apartments, offering units with premium quality, and plans to launch them at a rate of ₹6,000 per square foot. This strategic shift comes in response to the rising preference for upscale housing options in the Noida and Greater Noida market, according to NBCC officials.
Consultant Selection Process Underway
Chairman and Managing Director of NBCC, KP Mahadevaswamy, stated that the corporation has initiated the process of selecting an expert consultant to prepare the detailed project report (DPR) for the new housing project. The DPR will provide comprehensive details about the 13,500 apartments, and the consultant is expected to be finalized within the next month or two.
Regulatory Approval and Vertical Development
The Greater Noida authority has granted approval to increase the floor area ratio (FAR) from the existing 2.75 to 3.5 for this project. This allows NBCC to build taller housing towers and accommodate the increased number of units vertically. Mahadevaswamy clarified that the higher density won’t compromise the quality of common services, ensuring that facilities such as parks, clubs, swimming pools, and others will be maintained at a high standard.
