Noida News: In a shocking news coming from Noida, The Electricity Department has received a whooping bill of around forty lakh rupees. Ironically the Greater Noida’s Authority office has been built over an estimate of around 400 crores claiming it to be Eco-Friendly. The authority has been informed of these bills through an RTI filed by a Social Worker. The High Profile office of the Authority has been functional since the last two years in the sector-2 of Greater Noida. The new Luxurious office of the authority has been completed in the knowledge Park. The officers were allotted lavish rooms according to their comforts, and it was claimed that the building is built in such a way that there would be less consumption of energy. Surprisingly the electricity bill for one month has come up to 40 lakh rupees.
Unnecessary expenses have added more burden on the Authority
The summer bill in the month of May is 21 lakhs which is beyond comprehension. The highest bill in the month of June 2022 is Rs 39 lakh. The huge bill reflects how serious the officials are about saving electricity. Hopefully after these revelations in the RTI, the authorities will take note and action against the officers who have been misusing the powers and the benefits given to them by the Government. The unnecessary expenses coming every month has put the authorities under huge debt.
