Gurugram: In Gurugram’s Sector-29, unidentified criminals forced a man to give up his Mercedes at knifepoint and stole it when he stopped to use the restroom, according to the police. The victim has been identified as Delhi resident Anuj Bedi, who reported the incident to the police on December 15 in a complaint. On Thursday at around 8.50 p.m., the incident happened near the fire station and the Audi showroom chowk in Sector 29.

Anuj Bedi explained the incident

According to Anuj Bedi,”I stopped my car on a roadside just ahead of the Audi showroom chowk, and went to urinate. Before I could understand anything, a Hyundai car came from behind and stopped in front of my car. A few men came out of it and one of them held me at knife-point and threatened me. Finally, they fled away with my car.”

Police filed FIR

Police have filed a FIR at Sector 29 police station under sections 382 (snatching by using criminal force) and 34 (common intention) of the IPC in response to the complaint.”We are trying to identify the accused with the help of CCTV footage of the nearby area. The accused will be arrested soon,” ASI Sandeep Kumar, the Investigating Officer said.
