JP Nadda, CM Yogi offer prayers at Kashi Vishwanath, Kaal Bhairav temples

Yogi Adityanath, the chief minister of Uttar Pradesh, and JP Nadda, the president of the Bhartiya Janata Party, offered prayers and performed “aartis” on Friday at the Varanasi temples of Kaal Bhairav and Kashi Vishwanath.

Nadda was greeted by BJP members and CM Yogi on Wednesday at Varanasi’s Lal Bahadur Shashtri International Airport.

Following his prayers at the Kashi Vishwanath temple, Nadda will proceed to the Ghazipur district to take part in three events: a prayer service at the Pawhari Baba Ashram, a meeting with ex-soldiers, and Jansabha.

Nadda’s term as the BJP’s national president was extended earlier on Tuesday during the party’s national executive meeting in the capital. He will remain BJP leader until June 2024.
