Lucknow News: Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, also the Member of Parliament for Lucknow, announced on Monday that the inauguration of the BrahMos missile unit and the 104-km Outer Ring Road in Lucknow is scheduled for March. He mentioned that the Outer Ring Road is near completion and will be inaugurated in the second week of March during a nationwide event where several projects will be inaugurated by the Prime Minister.
Outer Ring Road to Ease Congestion
Rajnath Singh highlighted that the Outer Ring Road, currently in its final stages of construction, will play a significant role in decongesting the city. The completion of this road will allow travelers from across India to access their destinations in Lucknow without entering the city directly. Additionally, the minister mentioned plans for the construction of eight to nine flyovers in the next two years to further enhance connectivity.
BrahMos Missile Unit Inauguration
In addition to the Outer Ring Road, the inauguration of the BrahMos missile unit is also on the agenda. Rajnath Singh stated that this highly anticipated event is expected to take place within the next 10-15 days, preceding the announcement of election dates.
The simultaneous inauguration of these significant projects reflects the government’s commitment to infrastructure development and technological advancements in the region.
