Lucknow News: In a major crackdown on illegal basement constructions and operations, the Lucknow Development Authority (LDA) has launched a comprehensive campaign across the city. Acting on the orders of Vice Chairman Prathamesh Kumar, the enforcement team targeted unauthorized coaching centers and libraries operating in illegally constructed basements, sealing 20 such establishments.

Formation of Zonal Teams

To ensure effective action against basements built in violation of standards, the Vice Chairman has constituted zonal teams of officials. These teams will continuously monitor and take action against such illegal constructions.

Extensive Inspections

Vice Chairman Prathamesh Kumar explained that the enforcement team, under the leadership of zonal officers, conducted a citywide campaign. During this operation, a total of 107 establishments operating in basements were inspected. Of these, 20 coaching centers and libraries found to be operating in basements constructed in violation of regulations were vacated and sealed on the spot.

Further Action

The owners and operators of these coaching centers and libraries have been asked to present documents related to building plans and construction permits. Further action will be taken based on the verification of these documents.

This initiative by the LDA underscores its commitment to enforcing building regulations and ensuring the safety and compliance of all structures in the city.
