Lucknow News: In anticipation of Republic Day celebrations, the city’s normal traffic flow is set to face disruptions for three days starting Wednesday. Parade rehearsals and related festivities have prompted authorities to implement traffic diversions at various junctions, beginning daily from 6 am until Friday.
Key Traffic Diversions at Multiple Junctions
Several crucial roadways, including Ravindralaya Road, Hussainganj Crossing, Burlington Crossing, and Bapu Bhawan Road, will be off-limits for vehicles during this period. Commuters traveling from Alambagh and Mawaiya towards Ravindralaya will be redirected via La Touche Road towards Kaiserbagh. Similarly, Bansmandi Crossing traffic will be rerouted towards Kaiserbagh and Mawaiyya instead of proceeding on Rana Pratap Crossing. Vehicles heading from KKC trisection towards Charbagh will be diverted to Loco Crossing.
Varied Diversions for Smooth Traffic Flow
To manage traffic from Sadar via Loco Crossing, movement towards Charbagh will be prohibited and redirected towards Alambagh. Those traveling from Rana Pratap Crossing towards KKC and Charbagh will follow a diversion towards Bansmandi Crossing. The traffic from Sadar overbridge to Hussainganj will be redirected towards Cantonment, while the stretch from Bandariyabagh Crossing to Hazratganj will be closed, with vehicles rerouted towards 1090 Crossing. Additionally, traffic on Kaiserbagh Crossing moving towards Hussainganj will be diverted onto Latouche Road.
Planning Ahead for a Smooth Republic Day Commemoration
As the city gears up for Republic Day festivities, commuters are advised to plan their routes in advance, considering the announced diversions. The traffic management measures aim to ensure the safety and smooth flow of vehicles during the parade rehearsals and celebratory events leading up to Republic Day.
