Lucknow News: The Uttar Pradesh government has imposed Section 144 in the city Lucknow due to upcoming festivals till 31 December 2023.
As per the order, Christmas Day on 25.12.2022, Guru Govind Singh Jayanti on 29.12.2022 and various programs and festivals related to New Year 2023 will be organized on 31.12.2022 and 01.01.2023. Along with this, various entrance examinations will be organised.
Protest is strictly prohibited:
Within the limits of Vidhan Bhawan, tractors, trolleys, bullock carts, buffalo carts, horse carts, firearms, flammable materials, cylinders, and other objects are strictly prohibited.
Furthermore, it will be absolutely prohibited for any kind of protest rally to take place along the path that leads there. Additionally, it will be strictly prohibited to take drone photos within a kilometre of assembly halls and government buildings.
No protest of any type may also be staged in Lucknow without authorization, except in the Eco Garden, where it is permitted; in that instance, rules shall be observed.
In violation of the instructions, if any crime is committed by the delivery employee/tenant or any serious incident is committed and the delivery employee/tenant cannot be traced due to lack of verification of his/her name and address, then the service provider/landlord Legal action can also be taken against him. If this order is not withdrawn in between, it will remain in force till 31.12.2023.
Police is committed to conduct all programs taking place
Violating this order or any part of this order is a punishable offense under section 188 and other relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code. Lucknow Police is committed to conduct all the programs taking place in the district with full dignity and expected discipline.
