The Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust has decided that the ‘Ram Navami’ celebration programs will be held at the Ram Janmabhoomi complex as well as at other such places which are easily accessible by the devotees.
“In the past, only parikrama of Ramjanam Mahotsav used to be held. But this time, various religious and sports activities will also be organised along with parikrama to connect the people with the celebrations,” VHP leader Sharad Sharma said.
“Just like Holi and Krishna Janmashtami is celebrated on a grand scale in Mathura, the Ramjanam Mahotsav too is going to be celebrated with fervour in Ayodhya,” he added.
“Common people in Ayodhya are happy with the construction of Ram temple and the development projects in the town. Hence, they want that Ramjanam Mahotsav is celebrated with fervour,” Trust member Anil Mishra said.
“Such religious programmes will maintain enthusiasm among the people about Ayodhya and Ram temple till the temple is completed,” said another local VHP leader.
Discussion regarding Ram Navami event and Parikrama Marg
The meeting was held at the Vishwamitra Ashram of the Ram Janmabhoomi complex under the chairmanship of Nripendra Mishra, associated with the trust. On the day of Ramnavami, special events are held in the Ram Janmabhoomi temple. This time too Ramkot will be circumambulated and special worship will be done on the day of Ram Navami.
Significantly, due to security reasons, not everyone is allowed to attend the Ram Navami celebrations in the Ram Janmabhoomi complex. For this reason, this time the program of Ram Navami will be organized at Ram Ki Paidi Bhajan Sandhya Sthal and Ram Katha Park.
The first floor of the temple will be completed by October this year
This time Ram Navami will be celebrated at one place. During this, lakhs of devotees are expected to participate in the programmes, for which preparations have been started. Earlier it was told that the construction work of the first floor of Ram temple could be completed by October 2023.
According to the news agency ANI, now only one year is left for Lord Ram Lala to sit in his grand temple, after which the festival of Ram Navami will be celebrated in the Ram Janmabhoomi temple itself next year.
Festival runs for nine days, lakhs of people will be involved
Champat Rai, general secretary of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, told that the celebration of Ram Navami lasts for nine days. The program does not stop with just worshiping the Lord. People from every section of the society participate in this festival.

During the meeting, it was discussed with Pramod Kamle that what kind of statue would be installed on the parikrama path of the Ram Janmabhoomi temple.
Craftsman Pramod Kamle presented this model
On this, craftsman Pramod Kamle said that I have just brought the model. Further it will be decided how the idol will be made and how many idols will be made. This statue will be installed on the parikrama path of the Ram Janmabhoomi temple, for which the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust has not yet given permission. It is believed that a decision on this can be taken in Sunday’s meeting.
