Meerut News: From July night, the operation of heavy vehicles will be completely stopped on the Delhi Highway and all the Kanwar Margs in the district. On the Meerut-Dehradun highway, Kanwar Yatris will walk in one lane, but light vehicles will continue to operate at a fixed speed in the second lane. From July 9, the operation of light and heavy vehicles on the Kanwar road will be completely stopped in both the lanes. Entry of heavy vehicles has also been banned inside the city during the Kanwar Yatra. Vehicles related to petrol pumps, gas agencies and health services and press vehicles and emergency services will run on police passes.
Heavy vehicles will not be allowed to enter the city from July 9
The entry of heavy vehicles in the city will be completely closed from July 4 to July 15. From July 9, vehicles of floor tanker, gas supply, truck-tanker, medical gas will also be stopped. Light four wheelers carrying milk, bread and vegetables will be allowed to operate in the city only after crossing the Kanwar pass.
From July 9, the operation of autos, tempos, jeeps and four wheelers will be completely closed on the Kanwar road in the city. Passes will be issued to light vehicles carrying essential goods and medicines in the camps.
Light vehicles will remain closed on these Kanwar routes from July 4 to July 15

NH-58 Dadri to Aughadnath Temple Meerut Cantt Marg. Modipuram Tiraha Flyover to Partapur, Modinagar, Ghaziabad Marg. Zero Mile Begumpul to Railway Road, Mevla Phatak, Dainik Jagran Tiraha, Partapur Interchange, Mohuddinpur, Modinagar Ghaziabad Marg in front of Thana Partapur. Begumpul Square to Bacha Park, Hapur Adda, Tiranga Chowk, Hapur Bulandshahr Marg. Tank Chauraha Roorkee Road to Mall Road, Commissionerate, Jail Chungi, Vivi Road, Kithore and Garh Mukteshwar Road.
Bhainsali roadways bus stand will remain closed from July 4 to July 15
The Bhainsali bus stand located on Delhi Road will be closed at 8 am on July 4. The operation of buses from the bus stand will be completely closed till 12 midnight on July 15. Buses operating from here will be operated on the basis of route diversion from Sohrab Gate Bus Stand.
Apart from this, roadways buses plying on the Baghpat route will be operated from the temporary bus stand built near the bypass instead of the Bhainsali bus stand.
Private bus stands will be operated from outside city
Mawana bus stand has been shifted in front of Ganganagar police station from July 4 to July 15. Buses for Mawana, Hastinapur, Mirapur, Bijnor will operate from here. Buses plying on Kila Parikshitgarh Road will operate from Police Chowki Yadgarpur Basant Bihar Kila Road. Buses plying for Hapur and Bulandshahr on Hapur Road will operate from L Block Police Chowki Hapur Road.
Buses for Sardhana and Shamli will be operated from Sardhana flyover. Private buses plying from Ambala bus stand will operate from near Ganganagar police station.
City bus service will remain closed
JNNURM service of city bus and roadways running in the city will be completely closed from 8 am on 4th July to 15th July evening.
