The NGO has sent the goats to a shelter home and providing them with food and basic necessities. These goats are being bought and sold every year for the Eid Festival. ‘We work on the motto of ‘Live and let live’
The NGO ‘Jeev Daya Sansthan’ was started in 2016 by the members of the Jain community and it is based on the motto of Lord Mahavir which says ‘ Live and Let Live’ The Founder of the NGO says currently we have 500 goats. Our Jain Priest have inspired us to save goats from slaughtering, so we decided to launch this initiative.
‘We hope to save more animals from being butchered’
The goats are being bought under the range of 10,000 to Rs18000 onwards. Our staff looks after the food, cleaning, and overall maintenance of these goats including the Medical care. Every month we spent around 12000 on the food supplies and other basic requirements of these goats. We are hoping to save more goats from being killed and give them the life they deserve.
