Meerut News: Property Dispute Erupts as Sister from Pakistan Demands Share: Meerut Resident Lodges Complaint

A property dispute has emerged in Meerut as Asim Baig, a resident of Shyam Nagar, Lisadi Gate, lodged a complaint against his sister, Shabnam. As per Asim’s complaint to the police station, Shabnam, who recently arrived from Pakistan on November 8, is demanding a share in the family property. The situation escalated when three unidentified individuals reportedly threatened Asim at his residence late on Monday night.

Chronology of Events:
Following persuasion from local residents, Shabnam, also known as Uzma, returned to her sister’s house. However, tensions continued to rise, leading Asim to file a formal complaint against his sister, citing threats to his life. Asim claims that Uzma is pressuring him to relinquish his share of the property, alleging that their father, Qasim, had previously distributed the property equally among all siblings before his demise.

Allegations and Clarifications:
According to Asim, Uzma has already sold her share of the property and has no rightful claim to the house currently registered in his wife’s name. As the situation unfolds, Lisadi Gate Inspector Jitendra Singh has initiated an investigation, ordering both parties to appear at the police station on Wednesday.

Official Response:
In response to the complaint, Inspector Jitendra Singh has confirmed the receipt of the complaint and affirmed that both parties involved will be summoned for further inquiry. The police are tasked with delving into the details of the property distribution and determining the legitimacy of the claims made by Asim and Uzma.
