Meerut News: MDA in Meerut gave a presentation to Additional Chief Secretary Urban Development Nitin Ramesh Gokarn through video conferencing on Monday for developing a new integrated township (New Meerut). During the video conferencing he that the work of RRTS is going on fast in Meerut. In such a situation, there is immense potential for development in Meerut, a part of Delhi NCR. The government has given green signal to this and asked the MEDA officials to send the detailed proposal of New Meerut soon.
Meda Town Planner Vijay Singh said that approval has been received on the Rapid Corridor under the Transit Oriented Development (TOD) policy. In such a situation, there is emphasis on developing it. Vijay told that after Delhi, Noida, Gurugram, Ghaziabad, people will move towards Meerut.
In such a situation, the proposal of Integrated Township has been prepared by Meda, for which Rs 1000 crore is needed. Under New Meerut, near the highway and expressway, the township will be developed through private developers under Public Private Partnership.

MDA will further develop Miyawaki forest of Vedavyaspuri. It will be made more dense through Japanese technology. After this it will be opened to the people as a city forest. Authority Vice President Abhishek Pandey said that a network of rapid, expressways etc. is being laid in the city. In such a situation, there is a need to keep the forest area balanced.
Preparations have been started from now to ensure that the problem of pollution in NCR does not worsen in the coming days. Dense forest will be created in Vedavyaspuri using Miyawaki technology. In this, various types of plants, walking tracks, benches and other facilities will also be provided to the people.
