Mukhtar Ansari Gets 10 Years In Prison Under Gangster Act

Former Mau MLA and mafia Mukhtar Ansari has been sentenced to ten years by the court on Thursday. This punishment has been given to the former MLA by the MP-MLA court of Ghazipur. He was sentenced by the court on Thursday after Mukhtar Ansari and Bhim Singh were convicted in the Gangster Act.

On Thursday, the court has given its verdict in the gangster case filed in 1996 against Purvanchal’s mafia MLA Mukhtar Ansari. Ghazipur’s Special MP MLA Court has given its verdict at around 2.30 pm. However, Mukhtar Ansari was not present in the court at the time of the verdict. Mukhtar Ansari was not sent to Ghazipur court due to being in ED’s custody and due to security reasons. Therefore, arrangements were made for video conferencing at the ED office in Prayagraj.

When was this case registered

In 1996, this case of gangster was registered against Mukhtar Ansari. Gangster action was taken against Mukhtar on the basis of five cases.

Congress leader Ajay Rai’s elder brother Awadhesh Rai murder case and the murderous attack on Additional SP are also included in these five cases.

In this case, the court has sentenced after 26 years. In any case, Mukhtar Ansari has been punished for the first time. The Gangster Act was imposed simultaneously in connection with the murder of Awadhesh Rai, the murder of Constable Rajendra Singh, the murder of Constable Raghuvansh Singh, the attack on Additional SP and the attack on policemen in Ghazipur.

Whereas Mukhtar Ansari had requested the ED officers not to interrogate till the decision of the case. According to sources, ED officials have accepted this appeal of Mukhtar. After which their questioning has not been started on Thursday. However, earlier on Wednesday late night he was questioned.
