Noida News: Concerned about the growing trend of educational institutions turning into hubs for substance abuse in Noida and Greater Noida, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has directed the prompt establishment of a Rehabilitation Center in the district. This center will provide counseling to students, aiming to prevent them from jeopardizing their futures by engaging in the trafficking of illicit substances. Yogi Adityanath expressed his worry during a recent review meeting on drug-related cases.

In a recent review meeting, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath expressed his concern over the escalating cases of drug abuse. Urgently addressing the issue, he instructed the district magistrate to swiftly set up a rehabilitation center, emphasizing the government’s responsibility to guide the youth away from the wrong path.
More Than Two Lakh Students at Risk
Notably, over two lakh students from various states come to study in Gautam Buddha Nagar district. While pursuing their dreams from ordinary families, some fall prey to drug mafias who ensnare them in their web for trafficking. Driven by the desire to earn money and succumbing to the addiction, they deviate onto the wrong path. It often takes a considerable amount of time for them to realize their mistake. In November alone, more than 230 cases of drug trafficking have come to light.
