Noida News: On the night of July 1 and 2, the police arrested three of Sundar Bhati’s associates in Noida, Uttar Pradesh. The arrest also resulted in the taking of numerous illegal weapons, including a handgun with a.32 bore. They have been identified as Prince Khari, Satyendar alias Satte, and Brijesh Kumar aka Billu Fauji.
Bhati’s gang members shot at the police officers in a dramatic turn of events to avoid being arrested. They were met with numerous gunfire from the police officers in return. Brijesh and Satyendar were two of them who were hurt during the gunfire exchange.
Why was the person arrested?
In response to a tip, the police blocked off the area in a village outside of Noida.
The Bhati gang members were discovered crossing the road in a four-wheeler, proving that the information given to the police officers was accurate. Gunshots were fired after police officers gave them the go-ahead to stop.
A significant victory for Noida police
Deputy Commissioner of Police (Greater Noida) Saad Miya Khan said about the arrest and said, “It’s a huge achievement for our team as we have been able to get hold of the criminals who were involved with Sundar Bhati gang. These gang members were involved with extortion, dacoity, murder and attempt to murder.”
For carrying out criminal acts in Western Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, and the NCR districts, gangster Sunder Bhati is the target of over 60 prosecutions. The Uttar Pradesh Police detained him in 2015 in relation to the killings of Samajwadi Party politician Harendra Pradhan and his security guard. He was found guilty in 2021 and is currently incarcerated in UP’s Sonbhadra jail serving a life sentence. Additionally, Bhati’s name has come up in relation to the murders of Atiq Ahmed and Ashraf.
