Noida News: Gautam Buddh Nagar Police has enforced prohibitory measures under CrPC section 144 for December 31 and January 1, aiming to prevent unlawful assemblies in Noida and Greater Noida. The restrictions also include a ban on unauthorised processions, religious prayers, and public consumption of alcohol during this period.

Key Prohibitory Measures

  1. Unlawful Assembly: Gatherings of five or more people prohibited.
  2. Processions: Unauthorised processions and religious prayers banned.
  3. Alcohol Consumption: Prohibition on consuming alcohol in public places.
  4. Drone Usage: Private drone use within one kilometre of government establishments strictly forbidden.

Police Commissionerate’s Directive

The police order emphasizes the potential disturbance to peace during New Year’s festivities and various programs. It acknowledges the need for preventive measures against anti-social elements and urges compliance to maintain peace and harmony.
