In a significant development, the National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) is set to evaluate plans for a groundbreaking expressway linking Greater Noida to Delhi. The completed feasibility report, showcasing potential routes from Sector-94 to Yamuna Pushtha, lays the foundation for enhanced connectivity.
Critical Insights from the Feasibility Report
The feasibility report not only identifies available land for the expressway but also provides crucial details on the potential need for land acquisition in certain areas, particularly if the expressway is constructed at ground level. Comparatively, an elevated expressway would require half the land, highlighting potential benefits in terms of space utilization.
Strategic Connectivity to Delhi and Noida International Airport
The proposed 32-kilometer expressway, starting from Sector-94 near Kalindi Kunj and extending to Greater Noida through Yamuna Pushtha, aims to provide a direct link to Delhi from the upcoming Noida International Airport. With plans to connect to Delhi via a rotary system, tying into the Mumbai-Baroda Expressway, the project seeks not only to alleviate traffic on the Noida-Greater Noida expressway but also to establish direct connectivity from the airport to eastern parts of Delhi.
Enhancing Travel Efficiency with Six Lanes
Anticipated to have six lanes, the expressway’s planning and construction are under the careful supervision of NHAI. The development is expected to significantly reduce travel time, offering an enhanced and efficient link from Noida International Airport to Delhi.
