Noida News: The Noida Authority has decided to rope in IIT –Delhi for a structural audit of its new office building that is being built in sector-96. Officials say that the review is needed to measure the strength and stability of the building. The purpose is to ensure that the building sticks to all the safety standards and identify all the weak areas that need attention. Meanwhile, some time back a Consultant Agency had also submitted a report on the strength of the building.
‘Construction of the Building was delayed due to errors’
The construction of the building was suppose to end in the year 2019 , but it got delayed due to some errors in the project. This led to the blacklisting of the company who was handling the project during that time. The Blacklisted company had around 24 crore of the authority. The building kept standing without a plaster for a very long time. The buildings strength was affected by the sunlight, wind and water.
‘Project will be completed by Jan 2024′
The whole project of the building had to undergo many changes over the last seven years. The current plan requires the construction of 4 storey and an 8 storey Tower in 6 acres of land. The fresh deadline to complete the Project has now been set for January 2024. The Main administrative office of Sector-6 and the ones in sector-19, 20 and 5 and 29 will also be shifted here once the construction is completed.
