Noida News: An appalling act of cruelty has shaken the community in Noida Extension, prompting swift action from animal rights activists. PETA India has announced a ₹50,000 reward for any leads that could help identify the perpetrator responsible for the tragic death of a dog in a high-rise society last week.

The incident, which occurred on May 9 at Ajnara Homes society in Sector 16B, Noida Extension, has sparked outrage among locals and advocates for animal welfare. Disturbing images and videos circulating on social media captured the gruesome aftermath of the heinous act, highlighting the suffering endured by the innocent canine.
“People for Ethical Treatment of Animals India is deeply disturbed by this act of cruelty and is determined to seek justice for the victim,” stated a spokesperson for PETA India. “We urge anyone with information to come forward and assist in apprehending the individual responsible for this reprehensible act.”

The mutilated body of the female dog was discovered within the condominium premises, leading to suspicions that residents opposed to feeding stray animals may have been involved. An FIR has been filed at the local Bisrakh police station under IPC sections 429 and 289 against the unidentified perpetrator, and an investigation is underway.
“In cases of animal cruelty, swift action is crucial not only for the sake of the animals but also for the safety of the community at large,” emphasized Sunayana Basu, Cruelty Response Coordinator for PETA India. “We urge the public to report any instances of abuse or neglect to prevent further harm to animals and potentially to humans as well.”
As authorities continue their investigation, the quest for justice for the innocent victim remains paramount, with PETA India leading the charge in advocating for stricter enforcement of laws protecting animal rights.
