Greater Noida: Beware if you step out from your house wearing a lungi or a Nighty. The Residents Welfare Association has issued a circular urging the residents not to wear ‘lungis’ or ‘nighties’ in the society zone. However, responding to this circular in a positive way, the residents have said that they have no problem in following the order. While there are others who disagree, some residents feel that our society is not a school, where we need to follow a dress code.

Move draws criticism from Residents

The move has drawn different reactions from different people of the society. While some don’t find any harm in implementing the move, there are others who feel that they are not bound to adhere to the rules as they want to feel comfortable in whatever they wear, so the rule should not be forced upon.

You should pay attention to your conduct’

Meanwhile the Resident Welfare Association feels that there must be a ‘Dress Code’ for the residents walking or moving around the society as it gives an impression of a decent and cultured society. People must pay special attention to their conduct and dress so that you don’t give someone a chance to question your behaviour.
