The construction of a new approach road and underpass in Greater Noida is set to enhance traffic flow and reduce congestion in the region. Vehicles traveling from LG Chowk in Greater Noida will soon have direct access to the Jhatta underpass via a new Hindon Bridge being built in front of Sector-146.
Key Features of the Project
- Improved Connectivity:
- The underpass will feature a straight road turning left toward Sector-146 and linking with an already constructed 45-meter-wide road.
- Vehicles from Hindon Bridge will seamlessly access the Noida Expressway via the Jhatta underpass.
- Enhanced Traffic Flow:
- The construction includes a 700-meter-long road connecting the underpass to the wider road network, designed to support traffic from multiple sectors and villages, including Sector-155, 159, and Jhatta.
- Strategic Links:
- The approach road will cross the Pushta and connect to Sector-145, providing smooth transit for vehicles heading toward both Noida and Greater Noida.
Benefits for Commuters
The project aims to alleviate congestion by providing:
- A direct route for vehicles traveling between Greater Noida and the Noida Expressway.
- Easier access for traffic from nearby villages like Nalgarh Kambakhshpur, Momnathal, and Garhi Samastipur.
Officials from the Noida Authority highlighted the project’s importance in addressing growing traffic demands, ensuring quicker travel times, and streamlining vehicle movement across sectors.
Once completed, the Hindon Bridge and Jhatta underpass project is expected to transform regional connectivity, catering to the needs of commuters and enhancing the overall infrastructure.
