Yogi government is now going to take action against unrecognized madrasas in Uttar Pradesh. After a two-month survey conducted by the government, information has come out that about 8,500 madrassas in the state are functioning without getting recognition from the State Madrassa Education Board. In such a situation, the government will now take action against such fake madrasas. Iftikhar Ahmed Javed, chairman of Madarsa Board, says that there is no conspiracy behind the survey. Most of the people have cooperated regarding the Madrasa survey. The Yogi government has been successful in winning the trust of the madrassas. The objective of the survey is to increase the level of education in Madrasas.
According to Iftikhar Ahmed Javed, the purpose of the survey was to get information about new madrassas. The national anthem is being played well in the morning prayer in madrasas. The government has conducted a survey to provide more facilities to the children studying in madrassas. According to the survey, maximum number of unrecognized madrassas are running in Moradabad district.
Madrasa Education Board established in 2017
The UP Madrassa Education Board was established in 2017 to check irregularities in the functioning of madrassas in the state. On August 30, the BJP government in the state had directed the district magistrates to conduct a survey of unrecognized madrassas. The survey started on September 10 and the District Magistrates have submitted their report to the government on Tuesday.
More than 24 thousand madrassas
Iftikhar Ahmed Javed said, the maximum number of unrecognized 550 madrassas have been found in Moradabad district, followed by 525 unrecognized madrassas in Siddharth Nagar and 500 in Bahraich. At the same time, there are a total of 16,513 madrasas recognized by the Madrasa Education Council in the state. A large number of these madrassas are also running without recognition. To know about these, the government has conducted a Madrasa survey. About eight thousand unrecognized madrasas have been found in it.
