Oxygen Cylinder Explodes Outside Hospital In UP’s Chandauli

A big accident took place in Chandauli on Friday. There was an explosion while unloading an oxygen cylinder in a private hospital. 2 people died in the accident. After the incident, there was a stir in the surrounding areas. The explosion was so strong that its sound was heard about 500 meters away. The police reached the information and sent both the bodies for postmortem.

Incident happened around 9 am

Actually, there is Dayal Hospital in Ravi Nagar area located in Mughalsarai Kotwali. An oxygen cylinder vehicle arrived here on Friday morning at around 9 am as usual. Oxygen cylinders were being unloaded from the vehicle for supply to the hospital, meanwhile, due to some reason, the oxygen cylinder exploded with a loud bang. In the accident, 2 people standing far away got injured. The rags of both of their bodies flew away.

People in fear after seeing the scene of the accident

Eyewitnesses told that the explosion was so strong that its sound was heard up to a radius of about half a kilometer. Not only this, the explosion caused cracks in many nearby houses. Along with this, the glasses of many houses were also shattered. At the same time, the head of a young man who was hit by the explosion fell inside the hospital. The people around were shocked to see the scene of the accident. People were stunned for some time. Later on the information, the police also reached.

Superintendent of Police Ankur Aggarwal also reached the spot on the information of the incident. Superintendent of Police Anirudh Singh told that both the bodies have been sent for postmortem. He told that due to which the explosion happened, it is not yet known. Although the forensic team has been called on the spot. Evidence is being collected. He told that both the deceased used to supply oxygen cylinders. The Superintendent of Police told that the surrounding CCTV cameras are being searched. It is also being investigated whether the work of refilling oxygen cylinders was not being done. Also whether its packing was correct or not.
