The Special Operations Group of Uttar Pradesh Police has shot dead the prime accused in the Umesh Pal murder case in an encounter at Nehru Park in Prayagraj. The accused has been identified as Arbaz.
Special Operations Group of UP Police shot accused in the Umesh Pal murder case
Umesh Pal was shot at blank range by an unidentified man while he was getting out of Hyundia Creta SUV in Prayagraj. Pal was immediately rushed to Swaroop Rani Nehru Hospital, where he succumbed during treatment. Autopsy report has revealed that Pal was shot seven times.
After Umesh Pal was murdered, his wife Jaya Pal approached Prayagraj police and filed an FIR. Prayagraj Police filed cases under relevant sections of the IPC and Explosives Act and cases were registered against former MP Atiq Ahmed’s brother , wife Sahista Praveen and his sons Ahzaan and Abaan and several others.
BJP leader Rahil Hasan’s brother Ghulam has been named as the accused in the murder case of Umesh Pal, who was the prime witness in the killing of BSP MLA Raju Pal in 2005. The main accused in the murder is mafia turned politician Atiq Ahmed. Who currently lodged in a Guajarat Jail.
BJP district President Ganesh Kesharwani has said that Ghulam has been removed from the party.
