Toll Plaza Price Hike: Starting on Monday, travellers on the Eastern Peripheral Expressway (EPE) and the Delhi-Meerut Expressway (DME) can anticipate a 5% hike in toll taxes. Both light and heavy vehicles will be impacted by the change, which has been implemented by the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI).
Revised Rates on Delhi-Meerut Expressway and Peripheral Expressway
For both light and heavy vehicles, the higher toll charges for the Delhi-Meerut Expressway (DME) and Eastern Peripheral Expressway (EPE) would result in increased expenses. According on the distance driven, light and four-wheel drive vehicles will now pay between Rs 45 and Rs 160 in tolls, while heavy vehicles would pay between Rs 40 and Rs 250.
Previously, the toll was set at Rs 2.19 per km for the 135 km-long expressway. It’s noteworthy that traffic between Delhi and Ghaziabad remains exempt from any toll charges.
