UP horror: In the state of Uttar Pradesh, crimes against women and young girls appear to never end. A 12-year-old girl covered in blood, was discovered dumped behind the Daak Bangla guest home on Sunday night, according to a recent incident reported from the Kannuaj area.
The young girl left her house in the afternoon to purchase a “gullack” (piggy bank). Her parents started looking for her after she didn’t come home in the evening.
The girl was discovered traumatised and covered in blood behind the guest house during the search.
The incident:
Around 12 in the afternoon, the girl from Gursahaiganj in Kannauj went to the market to purchase a gullack. She didn’t get home till four o’clock. The worried parents started hunting for her right away. They learned that a girl was lying behind the guest house during this time. The parents afterwards gave the Gursahaiganj police station the information.
In command of the police post when Manoj Pandey arrived, he picked up the girl in his arms and drove her in an autorickshaw to the nearby district hospital.
In light of the girl’s urgent condition, the doctor examined her and sent her to Kanpur. The girl was allegedly gang-raped and discarded there, according to the locals. The police, however, are disputing the locals’ assertion.
