UP News: CM Yogi Adityanath Announces Major Reforms to Ensure Integrity of Recruitment Examinations

UP News: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath announced on Saturday that the Uttar Pradesh government will implement new laws and comprehensive reforms to safeguard the sanctity, confidentiality, and transparency of recruitment examinations. In a significant meeting with chairpersons of various selection commissions and senior government officials, the CM emphasized the need for improvements in the selection processes and the swift filling of vacant posts across various departments.

Key Reforms and Measures:

  1. New Legislation: A new law is being drafted to combat activities such as solver gangs and paper leaks. Strict actions will be taken against those found guilty of such malpractices.
  2. CCTV Surveillance: Examination centers will be restricted to government or government-funded educational institutions, with CCTV surveillance in every room to ensure transparency.
  3. Multiple Paper Sets: Each examination shift will have two or more sets of question papers, with printing handled by different agencies to maintain confidentiality.
  4. Enhanced Security Measures: The entire process—from setting papers, printing, and delivering them to the treasury, to arrangements at exam centers, and the scanning and preparation of results—will undergo extensive improvements. Different agencies will be used for different tasks to ensure integrity.
  5. Support for Women and Disabled Candidates: The selection process will be mindful of the needs of women and disabled candidates.
  6. Coordination with Authorities: Selection commissions are advised to stay in touch with top government officials and the Special Task Force (STF) before, during, and after the examinations.
  7. E-Requisition System: To simplify the appointment process, an e-requisition system has been implemented. Departments are required to thoroughly examine rules before sending requisitions for appointments to avoid unnecessary delays.
  8. Protecting Youth Interests: The state government is committed to protecting the interests of youths, ensuring that their hard work, merit, and talent are respected. Strict actions will be taken against any criminal activities related to paper leaks or solver gangs.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath underscored the importance of maintaining the integrity of recruitment exams and instructed departments to expedite the selection process for vacant posts. The CM’s directives aim to uphold the sanctity of examinations and ensure a fair selection process.
