In a significant move, the Uttar Pradesh Transport Department is gearing up to establish a strategic partnership with Maruti Suzuki, focusing on the automation, operation, and maintenance of Driving Training and Testing Institutes (DTI) across the state. This collaboration comes as part of the Yogi government’s broader initiatives to elevate the income of the Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (UPSRTC) while simultaneously improving the commuting experience for the public.
Driving Skill Enhancement and Operational Efficiency
The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signing ceremony, set to occur at CM Yogi Adityanath’s official residence, signifies a concerted effort to enhance the efficiency of DTIs. By delegating responsibilities to Maruti Suzuki, the government aims to upgrade training and testing facilities, contributing to the overall improvement of driver skills and road safety. The collaboration underscores the government’s commitment to modernizing transportation infrastructure and ensuring the seamless operation of DTIs.
Paving the Way for Future Transport Solutions
As part of this initiative, an online subsidy transfer system for electric vehicle buyers will be launched during the event. The Chief Minister’s inauguration of a new fleet, consisting of 50 BS-6 buses, 38 interceptor vehicles, and 12 publicity vans for UPSRTC, further emphasizes the commitment to embracing innovative solutions for the future of transportation. The initial phase will focus on benefiting five districts, setting the stage for broader advancements in road safety and driving skill development across Uttar Pradesh.
