UP News: The Yogi government is set to give state employees a gift before Diwali. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has announced a Diwali gift for state employees. CM Yogi, while making the announcement on Twitter, revealed that state employees and pensioners will be provided with a dearness allowance (DA) of 46% of their basic salary. Along with this, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath extended his advance Diwali greetings to everyone.
Announcement of a 46% DA along with a bumper bonus
In a post on Twitter, CM Yogi stated, “All state employees in Uttar Pradesh who contribute to the progress of the state, including employees of aided educational and technical education institutions, urban bodies, UGC employees, contract employees, and pensioners, will receive a dearness allowance of 46% of the basic salary. Similarly, it has been decided to provide a bonus equal to 30 days’ earnings (maximum limit ₹7,000) to all state employees (unclassified)/contract employees, teachers, higher education employees, and daily wage earners.”
Rajasthan government also increased DA:
It is noteworthy that the dearness allowance for Central Government employees was increased from 42% to 46% lately.
In the past, the government of Rajasthan raised the DA by 4% in advance of the November 25 elections. The DA was raised from 42% to 46% by this action taken by the Ashok Gehlot-led government in Rajasthan. The Election Commission has approved the request to raise the dearness allowance for government employees in Rajasthan by 4%.
